If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to step into a photo set that feels like a music video, a fashion editorial, and a glittery Y2K daydream all in one—this is it.
This bubblegum pink monochrome shoot was photographed during one of Cobalt Studios PDX’s styled shoot events for photographers, and it was such a blast to be part of. I didn’t plan the set or creative direction for this one (credit goes to the amazing team tagged above), but I did get to show up, experiment, and document the electric energy that unfolded in the studio.
Let’s just say… pink was the moment.
A Study in Monochrome Magic
Everything about this shoot was bold, playful, and full of sass. Think glossy lips, heart-shaped sunglasses, Y2K glam, glittery lids, chunky jewelry, and a perfectly pink set from head to toe. The model absolutely brought it with expressive posing and dynamic movement—and we ran with it.
It’s always so fun to let the energy of a shoot take over and become part of the performance. This session was a reminder of just how much you can express in a single color palette. And it also shows just how much The Studio Lab can become whatever you want it to be—playful, powerful, weird, wild, or soft and slow.

The Studio Lab is for anyone with a creative brand or project—musicians, models, designers, coaches, content creators, artists, or small business owners—who want scroll-stopping visuals that elevate their personal brand. If you want to feel confident, empowered, and a little obsessed with your own photos, this is for you.
Do I need to have a concept in mind?
Nope! You can come in with a fully-formed vision, a vague idea, or just a feeling. I’ll help guide the process with a pre-shoot questionnaire, moodboarding, and creative direction so we can make sure your shoot feels aligned with your brand, personality, and goals.
How long is a Studio Lab session?
Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes, depending on what we plan. That gives us time to get comfortable, try a few setups or looks, and get the kind of variety that keeps your content feeling fresh.
Can I hire a makeup + hair artist?
Yes! If you want to be glammed up for your session (highly recommend), I work with some very talented makeup + hair artists that would love to pamper you for your photoshoot.
This add on starts at $350 and covers the cost of the MUAH + the extra hour for getting ready. Please inquire for more details.
Where do Studio Lab shoots take place?
Most Studio Lab sessions are held in Portland, OR or Austin, TX at creative studios like Cobalt Studios PDX. If you have a preferred space or want help picking a location, I’ve got recs for that too.
What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
You’re not alone. Most of my clients don’t identify as “models,” and that’s totally okay. My job is to help you feel relaxed, confident, and like yourself—while giving you gentle direction and hype the entire time. No stiff poses. No weird forced smiles. Just images that reflect your best, most creative self.
How much does it cost?
